Was it always my dream to own a veterinary hospital in one of the best suburbs in the nation? YES!
Starting out I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from Miami University. I then obtained my DVM from The Ohio State University. I began my career in a mixed veterinary practice in west-central Ohio caring for dogs and cats as well as farm animals. I figured out farm life was not for me and sought out to pursue my ultimate dream. In 2011, I purchased this hospital and began serving a community I am so deeply passionate about. My mission was always to have practice that stands tall in its beliefs and care for patients. I wanted a small but strong team standing by my side that also shared the same passion. Veterinary medicine and this hospital have grown over the years, but my core beliefs in the care we want to deliver have never waivered. I love being so immersed in this community, as it is home to me as well. Raising my young family with my husband Ben has inspired me. When I am not at the hospital, you will see my running the town and cheering on my kids at all the local sports.

I’m a small-town girl, born and raised in New Washington, Ohio, where I spent my childhood surrounded by dairy cows, swine, and the occasional corn field or three. I grew up spending most of my days proudly announcing to anyone that would listen about my dreams of becoming an “animal doctor.” From there, my veterinary journey began at the University of Findlay, where I received my bachelor’s degree, before heading down to Tennessee to attend Lincoln Memorial University for my DVM. I have now found my way back to Ohio, where I reside with my two-legged companion, Connor, and our dysfunctional furry family. My professional interests include geriatric care, dermatology, and client education, but outside of work I enjoy trying new restaurants, couponing, and watching anything true crime.

Veterinary medicine is where I found myself, and I won’t be looking back. It’s the dogs and cats for me, I just love them all. I find my passion in nursing care and the gentle, compassionate love I can give each patient. You’ll find me zipping around the hospital helping all over — I never know what I will get myself into. Catch me checking in on patients, running lab work, prepping for procedures, and managing the chaos. I of course love cats, but the Bulldogs really make me swoon… or any smooshy face friend for that matter.

I’ve never considered doing anything else. I love what I do and who I do it with.
Working in veterinary medicine has been an adventure that I don’t want to end. Since my college years, I’ve worked here at this practice and have been able to watch veterinary medicine grow and change. Working alongside old friends and new, this team and community have been home for me. I love all the breeds, but you’ll catch me hanging with the little friends. I’ve fostered and homed many many animals over the year, and I love the rescue community.

Veterinary medicine is my first love, and still is.
I have been working in veterinary medicine for 15+ years, and I love working in a small town. The community support is something that speaks to me. I have worked with animals big and small: reptiles, small fuzzies, cats, dogs, primates, and even tigers, cougars, and bobcats. I have served many roles in the veterinary community and dog community alike, but shortly after I started my veterinary adventures, I found myself wanting to provide more. I slowly got into other aspects of pet health like canine massage, physical conditioning, reiki, fit club instruction, and canine first aid. There was a huge need for this education, and I found a passion for working dogs, pet dogs, and of course cats, too, that has stuck ever since. It was important to me that our pets are the best version of themselves. All the things I’ve learned along the way have given me the ability to share with pet owners to continue their bond. Along the way, I have worked with many amazing veterinarians, veterinary technicians, support staff, and mentors who have paved the way for me to continue to love what I do. I am still humbled and inspired at the companionship, independence, and freedom that pets can provide.

Veterinary medicine isn’t where I started, but it’s where I ended up, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
Everyday is something new and exciting. I’ve always had many pets and have a love for the big breeds — think Great Danes and Mastiffs. I love that I get to see a variety of pets, though, and that my role allows me to do all the fun stuff from greeting new families and their pets to saying hey to old friends. When I am not at the front answering calls and scheduling, you’ll find me providing TLC to our patients staying with us.
